Meet the Nuna Triv Stroller

The Triv is one of Nuna’s additions to its collection of compact strollers. It was introduced in February 2020 and was intended to replace the Nuna Mixx model.

The similarities between the two models include the changeable seat and built-in ring adapter. The Nuna Triv falls somewhere between a typical full-sized stroller and a compact travel stroller.

Value for Money

The ring adapter is one of the characteristics that contribute to the Nuna Triv’s reasonable price. This stroller may be changed into a travel system using this feature which you can connect to a car seat. With this function, you can avoid the inconvenience and expense of purchasing a travel system individually.

What parents say

“Using this stroller for the long-term enables a growth transition with your infant. This thing is fantastic, and we adore it! We use this brand a lot for our kids and highly suggest it.” – R. April 2022, 5 stars

“Compared to other Nuna brand strollers, this stroller has the greatest value by far. It arrived quickly and in exactly the condition that was promised. The whole product is light and strong, and the color is stunning. Highly recommended!” – I. April 2022, 5 stars

Ease of Use

One of the main benefits of the Nuna Triv is that its folding process is quite straightforward.

To fold the seat in half, you must first push the button on top of the backrest (which is integrated into the recline lever). The stroller will automatically fold after you pull the strap on the back of the seat. It simply takes a few seconds and is quite simple to perform with one hand (at last, a true one-hand fold!). The Triv can stand on its own when folded.

What parents say

“The mesh panels nearly always let sunlight shine directly into my little one’s face. Also, the rain shield only covers the stroller when it’s upright and when the canopy is closed.” – K. April 6, 2021, 3 stars

“The baby keeps slipping in the seat; it’s uncomfortable. Moreover, the seat is excessively shallow as the child gets bigger, and the buckles are too difficult to handle, especially for grandmas.” – A. September 29, 2021, 2 stars

“Buying this stroller is one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s small and easy to use.” – A. July 2022, 4 stars

Portability

The Nuna Triv is one of the lightest baby strollers. Without the bumper bar, seat insert, or canopy, it weighs 19.4 lbs. It’s around 2 lbs. heavier with these extras.

This stroller is notable for being around 7 lbs. lighter than the Nuna Mixx. Its wheels are smaller, the frame is lighter, and it is slenderer and thinner.

What parents say

“After a delivery, you can’t lift anything heavy. This stroller is really handy – it’s tiny and lightweight.” – A. September 29, 2021, 5 stars

“It folds up easily and is portable. It’s nice because your kid can either face you or the front. It’s lightweight.” – R. February 2022, 5 stars

“This stroller is nice and lightweight. It’s nicely made and exactly what we were looking for.” – K. March 2022, 5 stars

Maneuverability

The Triv’s traction is controlled. Shocks are absorbed by the wheels’ rubberized outer and foam interior, which are also lightweight and agile. Kindly note that its wheels are not made to support an all-terrain stroller, but rather a city stroller.

Even a stroller with the most comfortable seats may fall short if your baby’s ride is uncomfortable due to poor wheel suspension.

What parents say

“The Nuna Triv is obviously not an all-terrain stroller, though it might function rather well on short grass or flat, hard-packed sand. Avoid risking it by using it on rough trails or off-road strolls.” – Z. May 9, 2020, 4 stars

“I wouldn’t take it to parks or rough terrain because it seems fragile and is unstable (the rear wheels are closer together than the front wheels).” – J. August 2022, 2 stars

Safety and Quality

The ability to remove the primary seat and use the Nuna Triv as a car seat frame is a significant benefit. Not all strollers allow you to do that, and frequently the car seat becomes heavy and cumbersome when you attach it to the stroller seat. Nuna Triv provides an effective answer to that concern.

The Triv’s harness glides up and down and has a no-rethread design that is incredibly simple to modify as the infant develops. The seat’s greater headroom for a growing child is yet another amazing feature. The Nuna Mixx seat is about 2 inches shorter. A 3- or 3.5-year-old can fit in the Triv without any issues.

What parents say

“The stroller’s color is very much faded, and it’s not sturdy. When folded, it’s unable to stand on its own.” – T. June 2022, 2 stars

Accessorize Your Nuna Triv Stroller

One benefit of the Nuna Triv is that it includes a rain shield, so there’s no additional cost for it.

This stroller isn’t provided with a snack tray. Some parents consider purchasing a universal food tray or organizer made of fabric that attaches to the bumper bar. This organizer cannot handle heavy drinks or other items because it is made of fabric, but it’s fine for nibbles or tiny toys.

On the other hand, it doesn’t have adapters for other brands; the Triv can only be used with Nuna infant car seats (Nuna Pipa Series).

What parents say

“This one lacks a magnetic clasp. Not having a bassinet is annoying.” – J. August 2022, 2 stars

“Well-thought-out and simple to utilize. One of the greatest folds I’ve ever seen, and Nuna Pipa’s interaction with other car seats is far nicer than standard car seat connectors from other manufacturers.” – M. May 2022, 5 stars

Should You Consider Purchasing the Nuna Triv Stroller?

The Nuna Triv is one of the top selections on the market for lightweight strollers. It rivals some industry heavyweights due to its outstanding design and features.

The only reason you might want to avoid the Nuna Triv is the significant premium you’ll have to pay for it. It is unquestionably something you should take into consideration if you have a flexible budget and desire a stylish, high-quality stroller that’s great for city strolls.
