Meet the Baby Jogger City Tour 2

The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 packs approximately 85% smaller, making it perfect for long trips. This stroller is the best for traveling because it folds in just one step, weighs only 14 lbs., and comes with a carry bag. The City Tour 2 is lightweight, yet it doesn’t skimp on features.

With several reclining options, adjustable calf support, a UV 50+ canopy, and a soft, padded seat with additional depth, your baby is sure to travel in comfort. You may use it for your baby from infancy thanks to its infant car seat connector. Baby Jogger infant car seats can be used with the City Tour 2 to provide a comfortable ride for infants weighing up to 20 pounds (infant car seat sold separately).

Numerous add-on options are available (sold separately) to let you tailor the stroller to your preferences, resulting in convenience of both you and your child. You have everything you need to continue with your day, wherever it may take you – this is made possible with the City Tour 2.

Some important notes: No jogging is to be done while using this stroller. This pram complies with Disney’s sizing specifications.

A Closer Look at the City Tour 2

Is it portable and easy to handle?

The City Tour 2 comes with a carry case to keep the stroller clean and free of damage when traveling. This is one of the nicest features of this stroller because most of us anticipate that while traveling, everything will become dirty, especially a stroller.

What parents say

“I didn’t get the carry bag as I was supposed to.” – K. April 04, 2021, 1 star

Are there several car seat adapters to choose from?

Since this can be your travel stroller, you may create a travel system (car seat and adapters sold separately) by incorporating a Baby Jogger infant car seat with adapters. These car seat adapters are listed on the Baby Jogger website.

What parents say

“I purchased this stroller due to the favorable reviews and the fact that it was advertised as being compatible with car seats. Although it costs $250, I had to spend an additional $50 on two pieces of plastic in order to use it with a car seat.” – K. July 3, 2022, 1 star

Is it easy to fold and store?

The City Tour 2 folds into a remarkably little package and only requires one step, making it ideal for traveling. Our family, and more specifically meeting the demands of our child, consumes all of our time. If we can find a stroller that can be quickly folded and stored, this feature will not only be useful but also essential.

It’s worth noting that some parents in our survey said that they had trouble with folding the stroller, as per feedback below.

What parents say

“Due to its difficulty to open with one hand and inability to reach the lock position, the child cannot be placed back inside.” – A. May 31, 2021, 2 stars

“Since the stroller isn’t consistently easy to fold and the materials are poor quality, I returned it.” – J. March 4, 2020, 1 star

Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Parent Reviews

“My wife, who stands at 5 feet, struggled greatly to unfold it to the point where she instructed me to return it. I had some difficulties doing that because I am only 5′ 8″.” – R. November 28, 2019, 1 star

Parent Tip!

Consider a smaller stroller if your other half is 5 feet or shorter.

Is the leg rest comfortable? Does it provide ample leg room?

The City Tour 2 is a unique, ultra-compact stroller with calf support that is adjustable. For us parents, it is relieving to have this feature. We know that when our child gets uncomfortable in the stroller, he or she won’t be able to stay in the seat for very long. This stroller’s comfortable leg rest makes that possible.

What parents say

“The foot rest stretches, which is a good feature, however it continuously pops open on its own when closing, making the fold more challenging, and it then struggles to fall back to a flat position.” – R. April 9, 2021, 3 stars

Does it have adequate storage?

Thanks to the spacious storage basket’s 15-pound weight limit, everything you need is always within easy reach. As parents love bringing their children with them while shopping, this feature comes in handy.

What parents say

“With such a stroller, a little storage basket is to be expected. Not a baby bag, but a regular-sized purse will fit in there.” – Z. June 20, 2020, 3 stars

“The “huge” storage basket that they describe is so, so tiny and low that we could only fit the fan that we couldn’t attach on the stroller.” – E. April 4, 2022, 1 star

“It is ridiculous, the storage basket.” – R. October 21, 2019, 3 stars

What’s the canopy like?

A sizable UV 50+ canopy, extension panel, and peek-a-boo window keep the infant sheltered while enabling simple check-in at airports.

“I sent mine back. There wasn’t enough sun coverage, storage, and it didn’t feel very solid.” – S. July 12, 2020, 3 stars

“Because the sun blinds are Velcro, it is not advised to try to sneak a peek at your baby quietly because the ripping sound would wake a sleeping adult. Leaving the shade open also negates the purpose of drawing it down by letting the sun in.” – N. July 31, 2019, 2 stars

“Despite being larger than those on other comparable small strollers, the sun canopy doesn’t provide much protection.” – R. April 2021, 3 stars

Are the seat and harness comfortable?

Baby and toddler comfort is improved with the deep seat of the City Tour 2. This increased depth enables this stroller to recline in a variety of positions, including one that is nearly flat. Also, it boasts of a 5-point harness for added security of your child in the stroller.

You’ll benefit from this level of recline because it will make your baby comfortable enough to sleep while you run errands and stroll through town.

What parents say

“The more the child wriggles, the more difficult and irritating the fasteners become.” – S. December, 13 2019, 3 stars

“It folds up easily and compact but takes me forever to buckle my kids in.” – M.  November 16, 2019, 3 stars

“I hate the 2-part buckle, and so does my toddler. It is the worst buckle design I have ever used, and I don’t understand why they made it like that.” – K. February 24, 2020, 2 stars

“The first being the seatbelt and how you connect it. It’s complicated, annoying and not fast which is the opposite of what you want when traveling and on the move constantly.” – M. February 23, 2022, 3 stars

Is it easy to maneuver?

The stroller’s overall structure affects maneuverability – this is particularly important for both pushers and passengers. Due to various issues some parents have had with City Tour 2, they are not entirely satisfied with its performance.

What parents say

“Despite being small and lightweight, this stroller is not easily maneuverable. Don’t even try to fit a big 2-year-old in this stroller. Pushing and navigating are really difficult.” – T. June 14, 2019, 3 stars

“After navigating some graveled ground with the stroller, one of the front tires became challenging to turn. Previously, all four wheels would roll smoothly on concrete, but not anymore.” – O. February 4, 2020, 4 stars

“It is definitely not my favorite one because the wheels are a little shaky.” – J. August 26, 2019, 3 stars

“You will notice every bump because of the narrow wheels.” – Z. June 20, 2020, 3 stars

Parent Tip!

If the City Tour 2 is used only for smooth, concrete terrain, the wheels should last for a long time and provide a smooth ride. It’s most advisable not to use them over rough terrain; otherwise one or more wheels could be potentially damaged.

Accessorize your City Tour 2

This stroller has neither the adult tray nor the tray for the child’s snacks and sippy cups. Majority of parents won’t find it ideal to have to purchase a separate item. However, for those who are willing to spend extra, standard stroller organizers are readily available on online marketplaces. Other handy accessories for the City Tour 2 are the cup holder, hand muff, parent console, and belly bar.

“It doesn’t include a bar for an already-expensive stroller; you must pay extra to obtain one.” – E. April 4, 2022, 1 star

“I had hoped for a bit more given the stroller’s pricing. My impression is that I spent more on the brand name than I did on the actual stroller. I wouldn’t use it for travel, but it works ok as a stroller for daily usage.” – R. October 19, 2019, 3 stars

To Buy or Not to Buy?

The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 can be folded up to 85% smaller than when it is open, making it ideal for long travels. The City Tour 2 is the ideal stroller for traveling because of its one-step, ultra-compact fold, its being lightweight at 14 lbs., and its integrated carry bag.

Nevertheless, despite its light weight, the City Tour 2 doesn’t skimp on features. A UV 50+ canopy, a number of recline positions, and a large, comfortable infant cushion make for comfortable travel. It is one of the few ultra-compact strollers with adjustable calf support to keep your growing child comfortable, plus a lifetime warranty on the frame so you may stroll with confidence and peace of mind.

This stroller’s ease of use scores average since many parents reported that they did not like the way the City Tour 2 folds and unfolds, which defeats the purpose of it being a travel stroller. Also, there is no adult tray or a tray for the child’s snacks and sippy cups.

If you’re on the lookout for a reasonably priced and simple travel stroller that is lightweight yet sturdy, the Baby City Jogger Tour 2 could be a practical choice for you and your family.
